world. The aluminum extruder is located in Norway and produces its product with a 70%
hydro energy ratio.
The manufacturer mainly uses recycled aluminum. The process of recycling aluminum uses only
5% of the energy that would otherwise be used making new aluminum. In addition, the recycling
of aluminum saves around 80 millions in tons of greenhouse gases. This corresponds to 15 million
cars on the road.

No use of of heavy chemicals:
Another environmental benefit of using aluminum is the is the fact that is does not corrode. Most
rails require a powder coating to slow down the corroding process of the rail. As the UP rail uses
aluminum, a harmful process for out ecosystem is avoided.
